In this capacity, he will lead the culinary team of the Resort to ensure that the discerning tastes of the guests are fulfilled. Since Mr. Putra entered the industry 13 years ago, he was able to gain international experience in his chosen field by
working in Germany, Australia and the Middle East in various positions within large brigades and talented teams. To enhance his administration skills, Mr. Putra enrolled himself in long distance learning MBA program, which he successfully completed and graduated with honors. This is a testimony of his commitment and that he will be successful in this newly appointed position.
Born in Denpasar, Bali, married with two children and a keen diving enthusiast, Executive Chef Putra enjoys a deep interest in the pairing and fusions of indigenous herbs and spices, to create and achieve a new taste sensation. This interest manifested itself during the creation of the Sheraton Indonesia's Fusion Cuisine, and blending the organically grown fruit and vegetables composition for Laguna's unique natural spa experience, Putra played a significant part in the implementation period of this new cuisine and treatment concept. "We are proud to have a local Balinese food enthusiast as Executive Chef on our team. Mr. l Made Putra prides himself by being the leader of a creative team who in the year 2000 won eight of the Awards from the Salon Culinary International Chefs Contest which was held here in Bali, voted the most creative and innovative team on the island", said Erhard Hotter, General Manager of Sheraton Laguna.
